South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation Recognizes Britt Elementary with Award
The South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation announced today that it has recognized Britt Elementary School with an award to further Britt’s adoption of technology to further educational goals.
In making the presentation, board member Jimmy Norton made the following remarks:
“On behalf of our President Greg Bender, Treasurer,Angela Sneed, and board members Kelly McAloon and Sherman Merrit, let me offer congratulations from the South Gwinnett’s Cluster Foundation to Britt Elementary on being recipient of the ‘Family Friendly Partnership School Award.’
“Our mission is to establish partnerships with our schools, residents, and business communities to promote the academic enrichment, along with growth and success of the students within the South Gwinnett Cluster.
The South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation announced today that it has recognized Britt Elementary School with an award to further Britt’s adoption of technology to further educational goals.”Our belief is that a school, who’s staff positively engages and accommodates parents, will also show that same level of drive and achievement in the classroom.
“As such we are awarding this grant to Britt Elementary for use in Professional Development geared toward the E-Class initiative; specifically, the program ‘Simple Strategies for Integrating Simple Technology: Any Class, Any Content, Any Day.’
“Our grant will be used to purchase seven camcorders that we know will be useful for staff and students in the pursuit of enriching education.”
